MIAMI, FL — September 2026 — Refricenter marked its 55th anniversary with a special celebration on Saturday, September 5, at the Rusty Pelican in Miami, bringing together employees, company leadership, and retired team members who contributed to Refricenter’s history over the years.

Founded in 1971, Refricenter has grown alongside Florida’s HVACR industry while maintaining the values and relationships that have shaped the company for more than five decades. The anniversary celebration provided an opportunity not only to recognize this important milestone, but also to honor the people who have played an essential role in the company’s journey.

During the evening, José C. Hernandez, President of Refricenter, reflected on the company’s history and its evolution from 1971 to the present, highlighting the unity and values that have remained at the foundation of the organization throughout its growth.

Christian Hernandez, COO of Refricenter, led the employee recognition portion of the evening, joined by Alexandra Hernandez, presenting awards that celebrated outstanding performance, dedication, teamwork, customer service, professional growth, and years of service.

A particularly meaningful part of the evening was the recognition of employees who have dedicated decades of their careers to Refricenter. Years-of-service honors recognized team members reaching milestones of 20–24 years, 25–29 years, 30–39 years, and 40–45 years of service, reflecting the long-term relationships that have been an important part of the company’s culture and success.

The celebration also included special moments of remembrance honoring two people whose contributions remain part of Refricenter’s history: Lisandra Gonzalez, who dedicated 29 years of service to the company, and Cirilo Hernandez, founder of Refricenter.

The evening brought together current employees and longtime retired employees, connecting different generations of people who have contributed to Refricenter’s 55-year story. Guests enjoyed dinner, music and dancing, while historical photographs and a corporate video highlighted the people, locations, and milestones that have shaped the organization over the decades.

As Refricenter looks toward its next chapter, the company plans to continue expanding its presence throughout Florida, developing new locations and growing its team while preserving the values that have guided the organization since its beginnings.
